Welcome to the home of
Pilanesberg Game Breeders

Honour and the integrity of our business principles have always set us apart in the unique and highly competitive business of exotic game breeding in South Africa, and we are confident that the high standards of genetics we strive for and maintain throughout, will continue to earn us our place of pride in the industry. We are adamant that our approach to the future of game breeding will not be compromised in any way.

Applying our many decades of accumulated experience, the members of Pilanesberg Game Breeders are totally committed to sharing our knowledge of the industry and the expertise gained in the heartwater areas of the North West Province and Limpopo.  The emphasis on genetic excellence in developing and sustaining the game breeding industry remain our only focus.

Come experience the abundance of wildlife, diverse and arresting
bushveld terrain and Pilanesberg hospitality at its best!

Apart from actively supporting fellow breeders and young newcomers on the scene, we also take our social responsibility seriously through our participation in certain youth development and community upliftment programmes. Involvement in community projects outside the game industry, play an important part in our outreach programmes. The R1.44 million fetched at the recent auction for a lot of sable heifers representing six diversified gene pools supplied by member breeders, will contribute to this purpose. Another initiative in leading rural farmers on the way to securing their own place in the industry, involves donating game to the Bapalang people of the North West Province on a profit share-basis.

The Pilanesberg Game Breeders adhere to a strict code of conduct requiring us to manage our businesses within the relevant laws, rules and regulations applicable to the industry. We also apply the principle of sustainable utilisation of natural resources regarding our ┬ámembers’ farms and farming facilities and strive to economically and practically minimise any damage to the ecology and nature. Our first priority remains to manage breeding programmes in conjunction with the safe survival of the species in question.
